Michael Ure

Michael Ure is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences, Monash University and associate member of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, University of Queensland. He is the author of Nietzsche’s Therapy: Self-Cultivation in the Middle Works (Lexington Books, 2008); Nietzsche’s The Gay Science: An Introduction (Cambridge University Press, 2019); Philosophy as a Way of Life: History, Dimensions and Directions (Bloomsbury, 2021, with M. Sharpe). He is currently writing two books: Resentment/Ressentiment (Routledge with R. van Krieken) and Nietzsche’s Free Spirit (Cambridge University Press).
