Alexandre Góis

Alexandre Góis is a Master’s student in Political Philosophy, at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of NOVA University of Lisbon. Previously, he pursued studies in Political Science and International Relations at the Institute of Political Studies of the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP). His academic focuses are the importance of morals and power in politics, and the notions of government and civil society. Within the scope of the optional unit offered by the FCT Exploratory Project “Mapping Philosophy as a Way of Life: An Ancient Model, A Contemporary Approach” he is currently working on a paper titled “Human suffering and the possibility of happiness, according to Arthur Schopenhauer”.
