António Lopes is a Master’s student in Philosophy (specialising in General Philosophy) at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCSH). In 2023, he completed a degree in Philosophy at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Minho (ELACH). He is currently integrated in the optional unit of the research project “Mapping Philosophy as a Way of Life: An Ancient Model, a Contemporary Approach” with a study on the different interpretations made by Michel Foucault and Pierre Hadot on Descartes in the context of their theories of philosophy as a way of life entitled “Philosophy as a Way of Life and Spiritual Exercise: Foucault and Hadot on Descartes”. His academic focus and interests include modern rationalist authors such as Descartes and Spinoza and contemporary authors such as Deleuze and Foucault.
